Abstract

The cuneiform tablet, called as Huqqana Treaty, includes two treaties. One of them is the treaty which was drawn up by Šuppiluliuma I for Huqqana. The other was drawn up by an unknown Hittite king for Hayaša people and Mariya. Both of these texts were probably written on the same tablet, owing to the fact that these texts are mentioned the Hayaša people and Mariya. The fragments belonging to the examples A and B of Huqqana Treaty which were published after 1930 were a scattered view as papers. These fragments have never gathered together in a study until now. In this paper, we aim to compile and treat completely all of fragments belonging to Huqqana Treaty. The lacking parts of copy A will be reconstructed by aid of example B, and this study also includes a few of our reconstructions on example A, based upon the content of treaty. As a result of these reconstructions, we will rearrange the lines of example A, and also we will offer the translation and transliteration of the treaty in question.
