Abstract
Amazons who Eurasian Warrior-Women, has been important figures as very important figures in Greek culture, art and mythology. The Amazon, which was first mentioned in the Homeric Epics, is often depicted as Greek vases, wall paintings and sculptures that are often interpreted as a symbol of Greek warrior imitation. However, the question of how long ago existed the Amazon or the Eurasian Nomadic cultures in the Old World and especially in Asia Minor, are still debated. It is still being debated that the women warriors mentioned by Priamos in the Homeric texts, at least in Anatolia during the Late Bronze Age, and perhaps also in contact with the Mycenian culture. Archaeological and cultural evidence proves that the Amazons are beginning to influence the Greek culture in the Homeric period. This also explains the fact that Amazons are influential in the founding myths of Greek cities like Kyme, Smyrna Ephesos in Western Anatolia and some cities in the Black Sea coast like Sinope. From this period, it is seen that Greek historians began to give important clues about the regions and lifestyles of the Amazon. The archaeological finds reveal the fact that the rich tombs in the region extending from the Azak Sea to the Ural Mountains and belonging to Warrior-Women belong to the Eurasian Nomadic Cultures of the Amazons, as a part of Kimmer and more of Scythian culture. Regarding the geographies where the Amazons live, ancient writers report that they lived on the shores of the Thermodon River (Terme River) in the region of Samsun(Amisos) in the Black Sea and the region extending from the Caucasus to the coasts of the Azov Sea in Ukraine. Although this does not yet prove the existence of the Amazons in the Black Sea Region, it reveals the existence of Eurasian nomadic cultural communities. In addition to all these facts, it is seen that the Amazons have adopted the worship of Kubaba / Kybele, Demeter and Artemis as the result of their relations with Anatolian peoples and Greeks.
